Port Glasgow New Parents Initiative

A collaboration between The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS), Port Glasgow Community Fire Station, Inverclyde Health and Social Care Partnership and Port Glasgow Community health visitors to offer a home fire safety visit (HFSV) to all parents with new born babies within the Port Glasgow Community Fire Station area.

Partnership Approach to Supporting Oxygen Users (Renfrewshire)

The Joint Partnership Approach to Supporting Oxygen Users initiative commenced in September 2017. A partnership was established for a 6 month pilot period whilst partner interaction and understanding was developed. On conclusion of a successful pilot period, the initiative was formally embedded between partners and is ongoing in Renfrewshire.

Private Landlord Home Fire Safety (Inverclyde)

The initiative focusses on Private Landlord Home Fire Safety Visits and launched in 2016. An information sharing protocol has been established between the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) and Inverclyde Council Public Health and Housing Department, both are members of the Inverclyde Community Safety Partnership (CSP).

Stay Mobile Stay Connected (SMSC) launched in September 2017. Roar – Connections for Life lead on the SMSC initiative, which is a combination of both a national awareness raising campaign and a direct service in Renfrewshire.
