A collaboration between The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS), Port Glasgow Community Fire Station, Inverclyde Health and Social Care Partnership and Port Glasgow Community health visitors to offer a home fire safety visit (HFSV) to all parents with new born babies within the Port Glasgow Community Fire Station area.

Community safety trial project – Living well with dementia – Joint partnership between CMHT/OP and SFRS Motherwell locality. This initiative is aimed at those living at home with dementia as well as other people who are undergoing memory assessment.

SHSES was funded by the Scottish Government and enabled RoSPA in Scotland to co-ordinate the delivery of crucial home safety advice to over 900 families across 12 local authority areas.
The Joint Partnership Approach to Supporting Oxygen Users initiative commenced in September 2017. A partnership was established for a 6 month pilot period whilst partner interaction and understanding was developed. On conclusion of a successful pilot period, the initiative was formally embedded between partners and is ongoing in Renfrewshire.

Absafe is a safety education charity working with local statutory partners to save lives and reduce harm by instilling a positive safety culture in our communities and inspiring a passion for safety through education and engagement.

The initiative focusses on Private Landlord Home Fire Safety Visits and launched in 2016. An information sharing protocol has been established between the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) and Inverclyde Council Public Health and Housing Department, both are members of the Inverclyde Community Safety Partnership (CSP).
The Unintentional Injury Sub-Group (UI Sub-Group) was launched in January 2017 and is ongoing. The purpose of the group is to provide Home Safety equipment and education, as information and advice are the most effective way to increasing safety practice and reducing unintentional injuries in and around the home.

Drivewise Fife is an ongoing initiative and 2018 was the first year of operation. Drivewise Fife is a road safety initiative seeking to reduce road casualties. It is being led by Fife Council’s Safer Communities and relies on a partnership approach, with all Emergency Services committed to it.
